C++ Programmer
Join our team developing leading edge, global 24/7 prime brokerage accounting systems. To grow our team, we seek a highly talented C++ programmer to work on various components of our prime brokerage accounting platform enhancing the existing systems, developing new applications directly supporting accountants and traders. Developers work independently on projects and in collaboration with other developers.
This is not a traditional development environment; this is a fast paced development environment where the goal is to get from idea to implementation as quickly as possible, while maintaining high stability and robustness. Projects would typically include a mix of short term (1-2 days), mid term (1-3 week) and long term (1-6 month) developments.
To work in this fast paced, dynamic, and demanding environment you must be an exceptional C++ developer with strong database skills. Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities: Developing a prime brokerage accounting platform including GUI displays and database application. Developing new software as well as enhancing existing systems. A very technical role - 10% analysis, 90% programming.
Essential skills: C++ Programming for Unix server and Windows client application. Multithreaded programming. Database application development experience.
Requirements of the Candidate include: 3+ years of professional C++ programming experience in a UNIX environment. Programming experience with multithreaded technologies and GUI tools. ƒnComfortable with programming in a production environment. Experience with large projects. Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or closely related field. Stable career history. Excellent communication skills. Experience with Sybase/SQL a plus. Prime brokerage experience is a strong plus.
